WHEN THE STARS CAME OUT IN PIENZA
A mixed media art short film presentation based on Manzi-Schacht’s magic realist novel, as inspired by her medieval historical research. It recalls the cascade of stars enveloping a hilltop piazza in Pienza, Italy, during a dark moonless night under the sign of the Great Mother, when Muirgen, the twin-tailed Irish mermaid, was transformed into a woman.
