NITROGEN 2000: THE DUTCH FARMERS' STRUGGLE
Seventy percent of Holland is owned by small cattle farmers. Since 2019, the Dutch government has been advocating a 50% forced buyout of their land. The media is demonizing cows as an environmental pollutant and several government-funded NGOs are pushing the buyout policy to get rid of cows. Once the farmers are bought out, the NGOs become the custodians of the land. To make matters worse, the European Union (EU) has stipulated that farmers who are bought out are never allowed to farm anywhere else in the EU again!
Why is the Dutch and EU governments pushing a policy that will drive up food prices at a time when food shortages world wide are effecting us all?
