NITROGEN 2000: THE DUTCH FARMERS' STRUGGLE
Seventy percent of Holland is owned by small cattle farmers. Since 2019, the Dutch government has been advocating a 50% forced buyout of their land. This amounts to a nationalization of a third of the territory of Holland.
The media is demonizing cows as being an environmental pollutant. About half a dozen government funded NGOs is pushing the buyout policy and are coming up with various arguments and rationalizations to get rid of these cows. Meanwhile, the Dutch government quietly established a 25 billion euro Agricultural Transition Fund to buy out the farmers. Once the farmers are bought out, the NGOs become the custodians of the land. To make matters worse, the European Union (EU) has stipulated that farmers who are bought out are never allowed to farm anywhere else in the EU again!
Why is the Dutch and EU governments pushing a policy that will drive up food prices at a time when food shortages world wide are effecting us all?
